Karan and Nikhil.. Bygones
After Kal Ho Na Ho, Karan Johar and director Nikhil Advani had parted ways for more than a year now. But, for Salaam-e-Ishq, Nikhil needed a director to appear in a cameo and he couldn't resist approaching Karan for the role. The two seem to have patched up now as Karan has agreed to make a guest appearance in the movie.
Nikhil confirms it saying that he had written role keeping Karan in mind that Nikhil wanted a real life director for the track. So, how did Karan react? "He was amused. I don't remember his exact words. But I remember him smiling and then agreeing to star in my film," says Nikhil. Karan will start shooting for the film after he has completed all the work for Kabhie Alvida Naa Kehna. Apparently, there had been a misunderstanding between the two which had been blown out of proportion. However, they have sorted out the differences now and have forgotten the past. What does Karan have to say about mending of a broken relationship?
"Nikhil and I have patched up and there is no bad blood between us any more.
Although he was my assistant during Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, I learnt a lot of technicalities from him. Nikhil has a lot of respect for Dharma productions and my family", replies Karan.
