Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan began her community service sentence Friday at a Los Angeles women’s shelter.

The ‘Mean Girls’ star was handed 120 days in jail last month after a judge ruled she had violated her probation by landing a misdemeanour charge for the alleged theft of a necklace back in January, reports

She was also ordered to complete 480 hours of community service – 360 of which will be at the Downtown Women’s Center, while the remainder will be served at the County Morgue.
