She was the first 'Bips wannabe' to arrive in the industry but who knew, few years down the line this Jat girl would become the biggest threat to her role model's personal life.

So much so that people have already started writing obituaries to the once cosy couple John Abaraham and Bipasha Basu courtesy Mallika Sherawat.

Rumour has it that John got cosy with Mallika on his recent world tour where they were performing as a couple. Their alleged link-up rumours were enough for Bips to land up in Birmingham for the show and this is when things started getting really ugly.

According to a mutual friend, "Things are definitely not fine between John and Bipasha after the whole Mallika rumour. There is a crack in the relationship, but they have not split. All relationships go through ups and downs. It's not unusual. It's just a lovers' quarrel."

Ask Bipasha and she trashes all the recent split stories in a jiffy.

"Even after giving a joint clarification, the media doesn't want to listen to us. Ours is a genuine relationship and the media made it look so dirty," she fumes. "

“And what nonsense is this about me weeping on someone's shoulders? Even if I was going through a turmoil, I’d never do that "

But none of these rumours, she insists, is going to make her weak. "John is a handsome guy and will have female fans. I was telling John the other day that there are people trying to pull him down but this too shall pass."
