Apple Computers has again released a series of patches and updates to fix the vulnerabilities in their Mac OS X operating system.

The company said that these patches fix as many as 26 security flaws. Some of these flaws are pretty serious and the users should update to the latest updated files.

Apple added that several of the vulnerabilities affect the way in which Mac OS X handles images and the file sharing capabilities of the software. Some other flaws were fixed in the components such as fetchmail, file compression features, and DHCP networking functionality.

Security Company Symantec added on these updates: "Remote attackers can execute arbitrary code, trigger denial-of-service conditions, elevate privileges, and disclose potentially sensitive information."

Apple added that they received information on these flaws from a variety of sources including researchers employed by Google and Mozilla.

Mac OS X users can patch their systems from the Software Update pane in System Preferences on Mac OS X systems or through Apple's Web site.
