A few days back we had reported that Abhishek and Aishwarya Bachchan would feature in the remake of hit Amitabh-Jaya starrer Abhimaan. But now it seems the project has fallen through.

It was to be directed by cinematographer turned ad filmmaker and now filmmaker Rajeev Menon (of Sapnay fame). But now there are very grim chances that Menon will be able to make this film as the original producer, Pawan Kumar has refused to part with its remake rights.

Speaking to us, Pawan ji said, "I was surprised with the news that was carried in the tabloid. Rajeev Menon never approached me for any such remake of my film. At least, the reporter who had carried this news should have tried to confirm it with me. I have no plans to sell the rights of my film. I am in fact planning to make the film myself.
