Durai Dayanidhi Azhagiri is known for his smart skills of promoting the film. Foraying into the production of Tamil films through Suriya starrer ‘Vaaranam Aayiram’, it has been continuous success of his banner Cloud Nine Productions. Following the grand success of Paiyaa, Tamizh Padam and Naan Mahaan Alla, he is simultaneously producing many films and is involved in distribution as well.
Following the grand success of Vaaranam Aayiram, Durai Dayanidhi Azhagiri and Vivek Karunakaran, Cloud Nine Productions have acquired the rights of Suriya’s next film ‘Rattha Charithram’, which is directed by Ram Gopal Varma. During the audio launch function, the actor uttered that they are planning to release the film on Diwali.
On the par, Cloud Nine’s production Va Quarter Cutting is also scheduled to hit the screens on November 5, 2010 on the occasion of Diwali. It is a perplexing situation to decide between the two films. So far it hasn’t happened at any point of time in Tamil film industry, where two films of the same banner are released on the same day.
Having openly admitted that the film has strong violence and bloodshed, Dayanidhi has said, ‘My target audiences are just men and it is more than enough if they are watching this film.” Diwali holds a sentimental factor as audiences don’t prefer watching such films on this festive occasion. Rather they prefer comedy films and accordingly Va Quarter Cutting belongs to this category.
With nearly a month left for the release date, Cloud Nine Productions has lot of time to decide between the two films.
