British R’n’B soul singer Adele bagged six trophies at Sunday’s Grammy Awards including the esteemed Album of the Year for ’21’.
She emerged as the winner in all the categories she was nominated in, which comprised Record of the Year for ‘Rolling in the Deep’, Song of the Year for ‘Rolling in the Deep’, Best Pop Solo Performance for ‘Someone Like You’, Best Pop Vocal Album for ’21’ and Best Short Form Music Video for ‘Rolling In The Deep’.
Rockers Foo Fighters were the other big winners, who swept music’s biggest night with five awards in rock music categories, including best rock performance for their hit ‘Walk’.
The other categories in which the American alternative rock band won the awards included Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance for ‘White Limo’, Best Rock Song for ‘Walk’, Best Rock Album for ‘Wasting Light’ and Best Long Form Music Video for ‘Back And Forth’.
The event was held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
