Washington, Mar. 9: Russell Brand whilst speaking on Philip Seymour Hoffman's death asserted the way that drug addicts regard the issue is that it never really goes away.
The 38-year-old comedian recently appeared on Oprah Winfrey's chat show and said that the addiction is always there, dormant and if something provokes it, one will be back out there, the Huffington Post reported.
He said on 'Oprah Prime' show said that he knows about himself and why he won't use drugs today or drink today is because he knows he won't be able to manage it.
The comedian further stated that if anything positive can come out of Philip Seymour Hoffman's death it's that his death won't make sense unless one accepts that addiction is an illness.
