Washington, March 3: Alfonso Cuaron-helmed 'Gravity' has won a total of 7 trophies, including the Best Director, Best Cinematography and the Best Film Editing, at the 86th Annual Academy Awards.

According to Deadline.com, the George Clooney and Sandra Bullock starrer also won the Best Sound Editing, Best Sound Mixing, Best Visual Effects and the Best Original Score Oscar.

Meanwhile, the highly acclaimed slave drama '12 Years a Slave', that was directed by Steve McQueen, won the Best Picture, Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Supporting Actress for Lupita Nyong'o.

Matthew McConaughey starrer 'Dallas Buyers Club' won 3 Oscars as well, including the Best Actor in a Leading Role, Best Supporting Actor for Jared Leto and Best Make-up and Hairstyling.

While the best animated film and original score went to 'Frozen', Leonardo Dicaprio starrer 'The Great Gatsby' won Oscars for the Best Costume Design and Production Design.

BEST FOREIGN LANGUAGE FILM: 'The Great Beauty' (Italy)

BEST SOUND MIXING: 'Gravity'
