New Delhi, Feb 18: Hair fall is a experienced by women all over the world, but excessive hair fall can be devastating and strips women of their confidence.
Renowned hairstylist Rod Anker, who is also Creative Director of Monsoon Salon and Spa, explains that heat, humidity and pollution are scalp's worst enemies.
Meanwhile, Dr Apoorva Shah, leading trichologist, explains that hair follicle is nourished by the blood vessels located within the scalp and warmed oil stimulates blood flow to the hair follicle, moisturizes the scalp and loosens dead skins cells that clog the hair follicles.
However oil build up on the scalp can cause hair loss so beware.
Another tip to promote hair growth was provided by Aromatherapist Dr Blossom Kochchar, who said that people struggling with hair fall should apply a mixture of castor and sweet almond oil on the scalp with cotton and massage using light pressure of fingertips.
In addition, calcium-rich foods like dairy products, yeast, nuts, tofu, beans and green vegetables help promote hair growth. (ANI)
