London, February 11: Legendary British rock band Queen's album 'Greatest Hits' has made sales chart history by selling 6 million copies in the UK.
The 'Bohemian Rhapsody' hitmakers' album has been downloaded 124,000 times in the UK and regularly sells several thousand copies each week, particularly around Christmas, the Independent reported.
Martin Talbot, chief executive of the Official Charts Company said that ever since the album was first released in 1981, it has been an indispensable item in every music fan's record collection.
The band's lead guitarist Brian May said that he wants to thank everyone who has supported them through the years and the band hopes to continue to serve them.
ABBA's Gold come second in the best-selling albums chart with 5.1 million sales since 1992, followed by The Beatles' Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, while Adele's 21 is in fourth with 4.7 million sales since 2011. (ANI)
