Washington, Feb. 28(ANI): Pharrell Williams has defended the album cover of his latest music release 'G I R L'.
The 'Happy' hitmaker has spoken about his new album cover, after he was criticized that he featured only white women on the cover, Contactmusic reported.
The Grammy Award winner told radio station Power 105.1 that he was disappointed as he felt that critics are annoyed because the woman he is standing closest to is a black girl from Wisconsin, whom he used to date over 10, 12 years ago.
Williams while defending himself further added that his new album is an "ode to women".
He added that his mom is a black woman, his business is run by a another black women and he is married to a black woman and therefore, there is no point criticizing his album cover. (ANI)
