New York, February 12: Philip Seymour Hoffman was reportedly trapped in a love triangle before he died.
Law-enforcement sources have revealed that the 46-year-old actor had written in his personal journals, which were found in a police raid, that he was "caught in between" his relationship with longtime girlfriend Mimi O'Donnell and a new woman he had recently hooked up with, the New York Post reported.
The Oscar winning star had implied that O'Donnell had ousted him from their Jane Street apartment for hooking up with another woman.
Sources revealed that the 'Capote' star said in his diary that he felt ashamed for going out and hanging out and drinking after having been sober for 23 years before his relapse.
Hoffman wrote about being haunted by "demons" while attending 'Narcotics Anonymous' meetings and scoring his drugs.
Insiders have revealed that the journals are hard to read, as some passages begin clearly enough but then degenerate into an illegible scrawl, suggesting that he might have been wasted while penning down his thoughts.
Hoffman was found dead in his West Village pad with a needle still stuck in his arm and his place was littered with empty heroin baggies and syringes and a stash of more than 40 full bags of the drug also was recovered. (ANI)
