New Delhi, Jan 28: Nail art instantly transforms drab into glam and the year 2014 is about mellowing down and subtle creativity instead of loud and blingy nail art.
Julie Kandaleo, Essie's nail artist said that she predicts a sheer, high-gloss nail trend for spring, which is not heavy but very delicate.
Rod Anker, Creative Director of Monsoon Salon and Spa, that has launched its in-house nail bars for nail art aficionados, said to first examine the brush, and if the bristles can be seen through the polish, it is sheer.
Anker also said that half-moon manicures will also rise in popularity and all white nails with precise details, crisp stripes, metallic and unexpected pastels will be the hues in vogue.
Katie Hughes, Butter London's global colour ambassador said that nail art on a nude base gives the illusion that the nail art is floating on the nail, making it look surreal. (ANI)
