Washington, Jan 9: After spending over five years compiling the material for his unusual project, a UK sculptor has finally completed his art work, titled 'The Great Wall of Vagina'.
Jamie McCartney's 30-foot polyptych installation, which features vulvae's of around 400 women aged 18 to 76, captures the physical diversity of labia, the Huffington Post reported.
The artist's site states that his art is about grabbing the attention, using humour and spectacle, and then educating people about what normal women really look like.
McCartney added on the site that for many women their genital appearance is a source of anxiety and he was in a unique position to do something about that.
Even though McCartney pointed out that his work of sculpture was not erotic art or pornography, online responses to the sculptural feat have ranged from creepy to insightful over the years. (ANI)
