Sydney, January 5: A man from Northern Ireland chose abstinence for a year to raise more that 50,000 dollars for charity.
Pete Lynagh, who swore off sex on New Year's Day 2013, raised money for 'Free to Shine' organisation through his Facebook page 'Pete's Chastity for Charity'.
The Australian-founded organizes rescues Cambodian children from sex slavery and provides them with education scholarships, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.
The money raised by the boxing instructor and DJ has been used to set up an office and employ staff, allowing the charity to double the number of girls it has saved from the sex slave trade from 70 to almost 140. (ANI)
