Washington, Jan 8: Jennifer Hudson will soon be honoured with the Favourite Humanitarian trophy at the People's Choice Awards and given a 100,000-dollar donation for her Julian D. King Gift Foundation, which she started after her little nephew was murdered.
The 'Dreamgirls' star said in a statement that she was grateful for the award because she and her sister were raised with the belief that helping others was always very important, Contactmusic reported.
The 32-year-old actress added that the spotlight will provide an opportunity to share all the amazing work being done by the foundation in the city of Chicago and around the US.
Hudson's foundation helps to bring stability and productive experiences for children so they can be positive influences on their communities. (ANI)
