London, January 22: Historic ship 'Cutty Sark' in Greenwich, is set to become a theatre venue, with the opening of a new studio theatre.
The 85-seated venue, which was built in 1869, reopened in 2012 following a 50 million pounds conservation restoration project after it was badly damaged in fire, the BBC reported.
The visitors will now be able to walk under the three-masted ship as well as go on board and learn about its history in the museum.
Cutty Sark's director Richard Doughty said that the studio theatre project was designed to attract new audiences who might not usually consider visiting the historic ship and the development of a flexible theatre space will help in reaching out to new audiences. (ANI)
