Washington, Jan. 2: Brad Pitt's Hurricane Katrina charity Make It Right New Orleans has come under fire after the houses that it built started rotting from the inside out.

Make It Right home-owner Nola Verrett told RadarOnline that the houses wood turned gray and it was also black, adding that some parts started buckling and had mushrooms growing out of it.

Representatives for the charity laid the blame on the lumber, from wood company TimberSIL.

The house had been made from a unique non-burning glass-and-wood blend, which had been guaranteed to last for 40 years, but now will be replaced at a cost of 150,000 dollars.

The 50-year-old actor's charity is now reportedly considering legal action against the company. (ANI)
