Melbourne, Dec 18: Nigella Lawson's former personal assistant has claimed that the celebrity cook took drugs, including liquid painkillers and cocaine, to stay up all night to write her cookbooks.
Francesca Grillo told in the witness box of Isleworth Crown Court that the 53-year-old TV cook often took a cocktail of drugs that would transform her mood, especially while writing a new book or her last book, News.com.au reported.
She continued that Lawson also had a runny nose, which appeared quite strange to her because it stayed the same even in the summer.
Grillo accused Lawson of taking drugs in some form everyday for 11 years, asserting that even when she woke up with white powder on her face and it was pointed out, she claimed that it was makeup.
Grillo, who along with her sister Elisabetta, is facing one charge of fraud related to misuse of a company credit card. (ANI)
