Washington, Oct er 30: Model Robyn Lawley has revealed the damage done by the "ideal thigh gap" trend.
The 24-year-old Australian model wrote an op-ed for The Daily Beast addressing the subject and wrote that she never cared about having a "thigh gap" as it is another tool of manipulation that other people try to use to make a person dissatisfied with their body, the Huffington Post reported.
She termed the trend as "trivial" and admitted that she is working on making her thighs bigger and stronger so she can run faster and swim longer.
Lawley, who had recently posted her photograph on a Facebook page which is dedicated to hype the space between a woman's thighs which was used both to promote the "trend" and was also critiqued for being "too hefty", added that no woman should feel like she needs to transform her body in order to be beautiful.
