London, Sept. 5: Producers of the new Naomi Watts starrer 'Diana', which revolves around Princess Diana's affair with Dr. Hasnat Khan, are apparently bracing themselves for a hostile response from audiences and critics.
In an interview with Mirror, the cardiothoracic surgeon had alleged that the movie is based on gossip and the information that was provided by Diana's friends and some of his relatives, who didn't know anything about their relationship, Sky News reported.
Khan had asserted that the film is all based on hypotheses and gossip.
However, the director of the movie, Oliver Hirschbiegel, told the publication that the flick is actually based on the accounts of several people, and the inquest in which there were hundreds of pages discussing their relationship.
Hirschbiegel asserted that the film is not a documentary but a dramatic interpretation. (ANI)
