London, August 27: A new poll has revealed that almost a third of divorced pairs admitted that meddling in-laws partially aided in the break-down of their marriage.
The other reasons cited by nearly 1,000 divorced Britishers, who were interviewed for the survey for website DivorceDepot, included snoring, laziness, sex and even weight, the Daily Express reported.
Over 34 percent respondents blamed social media, such as Twitter and Facebook, for the split and admitted to spending more time with their smartphones, tablets and laptops than their own spouses.
Also, fights over distribution of household chores contributed to 11 percent of splits, jealousy to 22 per cent and 30 per cent said that an affair was the last straw for them.
Selfishness, money worries and political and religious beliefs were all common issues amongst couples.(ANI)
