Melbourne, August 15: Michael Jackson's former wife, Debbie Rowe, has testified that the pop star had a "very low tolerance for pain" and that over the years doctors pushed potentially deadly and unneeded drugs on him.

Rowe took to the stand during the 16th week of the trial, in which Jackson's 83-year-old mother Katherine is suing tour promoter AEG Live, News.com.au reported.

It is AEG's argument that Jackson, who died from a surgical aesthetic Propofol in 2009, was secretly addicted to drugs and responsible for his own death.

Rowe, who was married to Jackson from 1996-1999, said that doctors took advantage of the King of Pop, prescribing narcotics to treat everything from acne to a burn on his scalp. (ANI)
