London, August 23: Producers of the 'Fifty Shades of Grey' movie have denied that British actor Charlie Hunnam was being considered for the role of the male protagonist, Christian Grey, in the film.
According to Variety, sources close to Hunnam, Universal and Focus have all shot down rumors that the 'Sons of Anarchy' star has been cast, Metro.co.uk reported.
Other early contenders for the role are believed to be 'Tron: Legacy' actor Garrett Hedlund and 'The Vampires Diaries' heart-throb Ian Somerhalder.
Meanwhile, the film project, which will hit the theaters in August 2014, would be helmed by British director Sam Taylor-Johnson. (ANI)
