New York, Mar 7: 3 percent of the Yale student participants at a sex workshop revealed that they had engaged in sexual activity with an animal, while others and fantasized about incest.
The intent of the 'Sex: Am I Normal' workshop was to increase understanding for those who indulge in "fringe sexual practices."
Scholars at the prestigious Ivy League university also confessed at the seminar to taking part in sadomasochism and prostitution, the New York Daily News reported.
The results, chronicled by the Yale Daily News, detailed how 9 percent of attendees had been paid for sex and 3 percent had engaged in bestiality.
More than half had participated in "consensual pain" during intercourse, the Connecticut university's publication said.
Sexologist Dr. Jill McDevitt hosted the session where around 55 students used their cellphones to answer questions about sex. The results were then published in real time on a screen.
McDevitt, who also owns the Feminique sex store in West Chester, Pennsylvania, said the results showed "you can't have assumptions about people's backgrounds." (ANI)
