Melbourne, Mar h 7: Sofia Vergara and her businessman fiance Nick Loeb are allegedly expecting a baby via surrogate.

The actress, who already has a 20-year-old son, Manolo, from her first marriage to singer Joe Gonzalez, apparently wasn't comfortable with choosing someone she didn't know to help expand her brood, New.com.au reported.

A source told National Enquirer that the Colombian star has hand-picked one of her healthiest and closest friends.

The source added that the couple was terrified about losing the baby recently after the surrogate had developed pain and went to the hospital.

But thankfully, after several hours, it was determined that the baby was fine, and so was the surrogate mom. (ANI)
