London, Feb 22: William Shatner is planning to take director J J Abrams out for Sushi, in order to persuade the filmmaker to take him in the next Star Wars movie in 2015.
Abrams, did not cast Shatner, who played Captain James T Kirk in the TV and film series 'Star Trek', in his restored Star Trek movie in 2009 and follow-up 'Star Trek Into Darkness' recently this summer.
'The Practice' star has been critical of Abrams' helming of both Star Trek and Star Wars, the Sun reported.
Shatner said that Abrams is collecting the two franchises and holding them close to his vest and he's probably the most talented director of that type but has gone too far.
He added that he has taken the director out for sushi once and he thinks that its time for them to have another sushi and to put the director straight about two of the largest franchises and how not employing him is foolhardy. (ANI)
