Mumbai, Feb 25: Filmmaker Karan Johar was so impressed with Saqib Saleem's work that he has not only singed him for his banner but also mentored him in how to face media.
Saqib will soon be seen in "Mere Dad Ki Maruti" (MDKM), a forthcoming venture of Y-Films, an arm of Yash Raj Films (YRF).
"Saqib is part of not one but two big banners - YRF and Dharma Productions. Thus Karan has been showing keen interest in mentoring him for the promotions of MDKM," said a source.
Karan, who has signed the actor for "Bombay Talkies", gave him tips on how he should not be conscious while giving interviews to the media and how he should present himself in public, added the source.
MKDM will hit theatres March 15.
Esha dances her way to health
Actress Esha Gupta believes that dancing is a liberating form of exercise.
The 27-year-old does not like following a strict work-out regime and dances approximately two hours a day as part of her daily exercise, said a statement.
"Esha feels that dance is one of the best forms of exercise. It helps you be fit and at the same time also relaxes one's mind. It is one of the best forms of expression, as well," said a source.
The 'professional' Raj Babbar
Raj Babbar is not only a veteran actor but also an active politician and he knows how to manage both the jobs.
He is shooting for Prerna Wadhawan's "Ishqeria". For the film, he had to shuttle between Mumbai and Meghalaya.
"It's a learning experience to work with him. He is such a senior actor and yet very professional and humble. He knew the dates are clashing with his political work in Meghalaya but didn't request us to change the dates," said Wadhawan in a statement.
"Ishqeria", a romantic comedy, is being shot in Mumbai and also features Neil Nitin Mukesh and Richa Chadda.
The veteran actor plays Neil's father in the film that is expected to release in the summer this year.
