New Delhi, Feb 01: Academy award winner director Deepa Mehta's most awaited film 'Midnight's Children' based on a booker prize winning novel of the same name by Salman Rushdie was premiered in Mumbai on Thursday night.
The premier of the film, which revolves around the lives of two children born within minutes of India's independence from British rule, was attended by Mehta and Rushdie along with actors Shriya Saran, Shahana Goswami and Rahul Bose.
"It's a film which is told from the heart, its Salman's love letter to India. Deepa has given her heart and soul to it and we all have worked really hard. We believe in the film, believe in the story. It's a simple sweet love story and I just hope it does well," Saran said. (ANI)
