New Delhi, Feb 01: Legendary singer-turned-actress Asha Bhosle's debut film 'Mai' had a star studded premiere, with several Bollywood celebrities present at the screening of the film held on Thursday night.
Stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Kajol, Sridevi, Shatrughan Sinha, Rekha, Sukhwinder Singh, Boman Irani and Ritesh Deshmukh were among those who came to support the 79-year-old singer.
"As an actor I am really happy. Asha ji is debuting with the film Mai and we have come to see her today. Till date she has ruled the world with her singing and like many I am also a big fan of hers. It's her first step in the world of acting so I am just here to support her and wish her all the best," Deshmukh said.
Speaking at the occasion, Bhosle said that she will be satisfied only when the audience likes the film.
"Guests have appreciated the work, they are guests they will do it. But I want the public should like it and say that we have learned something. The day when ladies will come out crying only then I will be happy," she said.
The film, which is directed by Mahesh Kodital, revolves around a mother- daughter relationship and it also features actors like Padmini Kolhapuri and Ram Kapoor. (ANI)
