Mumbai, Jan 18: Last year Varun Dhawan debuted as a Bollywood actor in the Karan Johar’s movie “Student of the year”. And this year, he has got a great oppurtunity. Film producer Ekta Kapoor has bought the remake rights of a Telegu super hit movie to be made in Hindi for 2 crore. And Ekta has chosen Varun to play the lead role in it while she has given Dhavid Dhawan, Varun’s father, the responsibility to direct the film.
In fact many other film makers were waiting to purchase the remaking rights of the Telegu film but Ekta was hell bent to get it and so went to South for that purpose only and stayed there until the final deal was completed. Ekta says Varun is a teen sensation and so casting an established actor would create that craze of girls about the hero as the film makers want. And Varun being the latest sensation is the perfect choice, he is the younger version of Salman Khan.
He can do humorous roles, he acts too good, also he dances wonderfully, added the producer. The rest of the cast of this upcomng flick has not yet been decided, but as per reports, there will be 2 heroines in the movie.
