Wellington, Jan 4: A parent in Utah, was so shaken up by the usage of Elvis Presley's song in musical 'All Shook Up' that the school got the production cancelled.
The American jukebox musical borrowed from King of Rock and Roll's songbook and put a modern twist on William Shakespeare's play 'Twelfth Night.'
In the musical, Presley sings about a sweetheart whose "lips are like a volcano that's hot" in his 1957 song, Stuff.co.nz reported.
Sandy Riesgraf, a spokeswoman for the Jordan School District said that Presley's lyrics were deemed as "too sexually suggestive" and a scene suggesting cross-dressing was also deemed offensive by school administrators in Salt Lake City, so Herriman High School cancelled rehearsals for the show.
