London, Jan 31: Rihanna has broken her silence over her controversial relationship with Chris Brown, who famously assaulted her in 2009, to confirm that the pair are back together.
The Barbadian singer told Rolling Stone in an interview that dating Brown makes her happy, adding: "if it's a mistake, it's my mistake," the Telegraph reported.
She added that she is ready to go public with Brown.
The pair's relationship has been the subject of intense speculation, feeding into a global social debate on domestic violence.
Four years ago, Brown attacked Rihanna and was charged with a felony.
Shocking pictures of her battered face were famously published online, and Brown has been repeatedly villified online ever since.
Rumors that the couple have reunited have been persistent in recent months, often fuelled by the singers themselves as they collaborated on songs and appeared in photos together.
The 'Umbrella' hitmaker said that she knows her history with Brown is "not the cutest puzzle in the world."
"We don't have those types of arguments anymore... We value each other. We know exactly what we have now, and we don't want to lose that," she said.
The 24-year-old said she could handle the inevitable backlash of her decision.
She decided that it was more important for her to be happy, and wasn't going to let anybody's opinion get in the way of that.
Claiming Brown is "disgusted" by what he did, she added that he "doesn't have the luxury of f****** up again."
However, she insists that she can't be sure nothing else will ever go wrong. (ANI)
