Mumbai, Jan 29: Born in the small village of Jassia and brought up in Rohtak, Randeep Hooda cant forget his nani who loved him the most. He stayed in Rohtak with her. He used to often go back to his village from city just to find some peace with the animals there. Randeep’s nani passed away only a few years back, and he says as his parents would mostly stay in other countries for work, it was with Nani he was most attached.

Talking of his grandma, Randeep says she was not an affectionate one, but contrary to it, she was bitter and headstrong. Staying away from his parents, there was a rift or a distance between him and his parents, Randeep admits. He says when he was in school, he would get a chance to watch English movies every weekend, and he used to imagine himself to be the character.

He also used to act in plays and theatres. And after his class 10, he got acquainted with drinking, smoking and getting close to girls. He always wanted to be a Hollywood actor and so he went after school to Australia to study as well as try his luck in films. But that never happened. After that he came to Delhi and started working as a model and theatre actor.
