Mumbai, Jan 14: Mini Mathur is a very popular Indian television host. Mini says even though an anchor or host is the real person who helps in keeping the show together, but they are generally considered unimportant. The status of a tv host is of least significance in India says Mini who also says anchors are generally underrated and are replaceable.

But then Mini added that an anchor is actually the glue which holds the entire show together and gives it a proper shape. Mini is one of the most popular video jockeys all over the nation. She has hosted shows like “Indian Idol” and also “Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao”. She also worked as the expert lifeline in the show “Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 6” recently. She began her career as a television anchor with a show on Zee TV in 1993.

Later on she worked for MTV India channel as a VJ. And soon after, she began hosting the reality show “Indian Idol” which made her very popular amongst the masses. She even took part in the celebrity dancing show “Jhalak Dikhla Jaa” as a contestant. She is presently the host of a quiz show on sports aired on Doordarshan titled “Sports Ka Superstar”.
