Mumbai, Jan 1: Deepika Padukone can be rightly said to be a successful young actress of Bollywood but then the diva says she is hardly happy with her work. She is just 25 years old and has been in the film industry for just 5 years now, and Dippy says it is self-criticism which has helped her to improve her skills. She treats herself harshly. She in fact loves the fact of hers that she is rarely glad to see her work. She is only competitor in the competition and she challenges herself always.

This mentality of hers has helped her not to get stuck in a rut and improve herself everyday and with each film. Whoever thought she was just a pretty girl with a gorgeous body, were proven wrong by her strong performance in the movie “Cocktail” which released in 2012. She played the role of Veronica in it. She believes in her work and is thankful that she got a chance to be Veronica in the movie as people’s perception about her changed entirely.

She has even won an award for the same film. It was from Big Star Awards. Deepika said she invested a whole lot of emotional things into the character of Veronica and happy with the results.
