London, Jan 8: A British couple, who has been married for 70 years, has revealed that the secret recipe behind their successful marriage was to have a blazing tiff every day.
Edwin and Mary Daubney, who met in 1942 after an argument between Edwin and a friend over who should ask Mary for the last waltz at a town hall dance, asserted that bickering over petty things like who left the lights on and whose turn it was to tidy up, keep them happier, the Daily Express reported.
The 89-year-old Daubney said that they fight over silly things, but those little rows keep them happier because everything is in the open, as there are no secrets between them and nobody is brooding or sulking.
She also said that they only have little disagreements, and then they move on, with her husband only moaning when she moans at him.
Mrs.Daubney concluded by saying that despite their daily spats they are still as firmly in love as ever. (ANI)
