Chennai, Jan 3: Megastar Amitabh Bachchan very recently said that Bollywood has a lot to learn from the Tamil film industry or Tollywood. Bollywood is bigger in size than Tollywood, no doubt in that, but that does not mean it cant learn a thing or two from the Tamil film industry. Amit ji says that he has done a few films in the south, and has got close ties with the southern film industry. He knows they are very affectionate towards him and are also very organized and disciplined.
Bachchan was present on the last day of the 10th Chennai International Film Festival. He was the chief guest at the closing ceremony. And he says discipline is one such thing that Bollywood needs to pick up from the southern film industry. Amit ji added that the Indian film industry is the largest film industry in the world. But then a portion of it contains the Tamil film industry too.
The Tamil film industry is the most important part of the Southern film industry. The CIFF had started on the 13th of December and ended this week Thursday. 154 movies from 50 different countries were shown at the festival. Amitabh Bachchan was last seen in a cameo in “English Vinglish”.
