Hyderabad, Dec 21: Vikram Gaikwad may be known to his audience as Justice Rande, but he says in real life too his love life is much similar to his onscreen character. Gaikwad is seen in the Marathi serial “Unch Mazha Zokha” as Justice Ranade. Recently he was in Nagpur and that’s when he expressed himself to the media. He plays the unbiased judge, who is a matured husband and also a social reformer. Vikram says his fans want him to be like the character always, even offscreen. That is tough for him, but eventually he is getting used to it.
When Vikram was asked whether playing period characters limit actor being offered other types of roles, he said that the character of Ranade only helped him to get a chance in a film on Dr Prakash Amte. It was Nana Patekar who recommended his name for the role. So he is full of respect and gratitude to the serial. And also with the special makeup and costumes for the serial, he gets to look very different than he his in real life.
Vikram was also impressed with the infrastructure and cleanliness of the city Nagpur. If he is offered Hindi films or serials in the future, he will accept it, but right now he has no intention of leaving the television industry.
