Mumbai, Nov 28: Sonam Kapoor tells she is not serious about herself and that is why when she gives any interview to the media, her statements are misinterpreted. Media has treated her high-handedly, critics too often was strict about her and her films, but Sonam always took the negativites as positive points. She started off her career with "Saawariya", a Sanjay Leela Bhansali film, where she was paired with Ranbir Kapoor. The film did not fair well at the box office, but the actress says she has no regrets to be a part of the film.
The 2007 film did not go down well with the critics. People told her that it was a wrong decision on her part to do the film being a debutant. But she chose to act in the film as it was based on her favourite story ‘White Nights' written by Fyodor Dostoevsky.
Also she had her childhood buddy Ranbir as the co-star with her favourite director, so she could not just reject the offer. She feels she needs critics and their criticism in her life. There must be someone to judge one's performance else than the person himself or herself, says Sonam. Rubbishing reports of bitter relation between her and Abhay Deol, the duo will be seen together once again in "Raanjhnaa" after "Aisha".
