Mumbai, Nov 5: Even though actor Irrfan Khan got a scope rarely to be a romantic lover onscreen, the actor says he loves the romantic genre of films the most. In fact, the versatile performer wants to do more romantic characters onscreen. He played lover boy kind of roles in films like "Maqbool" and "Yeh Saali Zindagi". Now he is on the lookout of the right script to do a romantic movie. There can be no faking of himself when it comes to romance, says the actor. Very soon he will be seen the film "Life of Pi" by Oscar winning film maker Ang Lee.
The film is all set to release on November 23rd. The film has been adapted from a novel by novelist Yann Martel. Irrfan plays the elder Pi in this movie and he captured the character's essence from the director and not from the book. Irrfan explains he is a part of the Ang's version of the story, therefore it is essential to know about the vision of the director himself to be a part of the story.
The movie is about a young guy Pi who is the lone survivor after the sinking of a cargo ship. He finds himself with a few animals like orangutan, hyena, zebra, Bengal tiger. The storyline deals with a lot of complex issues. To shoot a tiger along with a boy in a boat was a really challenging task said Irrfan.
