London, Oct 16: Beyonce Knowles is set to perform a duet with contestant Ella Henderson, one of the favourites to win the competition, at the 'X Factor' final.
Cowell is confident that 16-year-old Henderson will make the last three and thinks that Beyonce's joining her on stage will ensure millions of viewers tune in to watch the finale, the Mirror reported.
Beyonce also appeared in the final with Alexandra Burke in 2008, who went on to win the competition.
"We are delighted to get Beyonce on the show because she is such a huge crowd pleaser and will make sure the final goes with a bang," a source said.
"The last time she sang with Alexandra it was incredible and we hope to have her sing a duet again. Ella is the one most likely to sing with her because hearing their voices together would be just amazing.
"The show is still in it's early stages, but Simon hasn't wasted any time in trying to line up acts for the final. He wants to get in there before Strictly," the source said.
Cowell hopes Beyonce is one of the secret weapons ensuring that the show's final gets huge ratings and beats 'Strictly come Dancing' to be the biggest Saturday night show on TV.
'Strictly' gained the upper hand at the weekend with an audience of 11.3 million, compared to X Factor's 9.9 million, and they have also hired Girls Aloud to perform on the BBC show next month.
But 'X Factor' chiefs are hoping to land several other major stars for the show's final, to be held in Manchester on December 8 and 9. (ANI)
