London, Oct 10: Charlie Brown and friends - the beloved characters from the Peanuts cartoon strip, are set to star in their own animated film, which is scheduled to hit US cinemas on November 25, 2015.
The year marks the 65th anniversary of Charles Schulz's 'Peanuts' comic strip and the 50th anniversary of 'A Charlie Brown Christmas,' the first of the gang's many TV specials.
20th Century Fox and its Blue Sky Studios animation unit, will be producing the as-yet-untitled film.
Schulz's son Craig and grandson Bryan co-wrote the screenplay with Cornelius Uliano, the trio are also producing the film.
Steve Martino, co-director of 'Horton Hears a Who' and 'Ice Age: Continental Drift,' will be directing the animated flick. (ANI)
