Mumbai, Oct 6: Last year, June Aishwarya Rai had to quit acting career for a briefwhile and rest at home as she was pregnant. She moved out of the filmi circuit for sometime, and took over a new role in her personal life, that of a mother! Now that a year has passed by, Ash is ready to join the film industry now. Therefore many film makers are interested to cast her in their next. However, it can be assumed she will be giving preference to the adaptation of the 1938 novel titled "Rebecca" written by Daphne Du Maurier.
Mani Ratnam is going to make a film on the novel. An inside source reveals that the bonding of Ash and Mani Ratnam is much old, Ash debuted in 1997 in Mani's film "Iruvaar". After 10 years, she worked with him in "Guru". Soon after Ash got married and again in 2010, they worked together in "Raavan". Ash respects the filmmaker a lot, and thus does any film offered to her by him. Right now, Mani Ratnam is working on the script.
Rebecca is about a newly wed woman who is constantly being compared to the first wife of her husband. She feels belittled every moment. Soon she realizes that her husband was never in love with the first deceased wife.
