Cochin, Sep 7: Tabu's last film in Mollywood was "Urumi" in 2011, where she did a cameo role. This time film maker M Padmakumar has decided to cast Tabu in his next film, where the actor will be playing an important and powerful role. The film is named "Orissa" and it is a Malayalam film, it is said to be a love story. The director of the movie has confirmed the news saying Tabu will be playing a lead role in the flick. The movie is all about a young girl, the story is set against the backdrop of Orissa.
The film revolves around the love story of the young village girl with a police officer, who is her security guard. The social situations of the state of Orissa will be also highlighted in the movie. The village girl faces various hurdles but comes out victorious out of all odds in her life, with the help of her teacher. And the role of the teacher will be played by Tabu, says the director.
Auditions are about to begin, to choose the lead role. The role of the police officer will be played by Unni Mukundan. The movie will start rolling next year. It is scripted by G.S. Anil.
