Chennai, Sep 25: Actress Samantha is on her way to consolidate her position in the Tollywood industry. The stupendous success of her last film "Naan Ee" has strenghtened her position and her forthcoming release "Neethane En Ponvasntham" is the latest talk of the town. Though, she left film offers like "I" by Shankar and "Kadal" by Maniratnam, she has bagged a role opposite Suriya in a new movie by Lingusamy.

The production team of the movie has revealed that the signing process is to take place very soon. Before Samantha was chosen for this role, Parineeti Chopra was also a strong contender of the role. However, the role eventually fell on the lap of Samantha only. Samantha's 3 back to back Telegu films will be releasing this year. She wants to do more film in Tamil. Samantha is definitely recovering her once-lost position in the Tolly industry.

Samantha is a part of the Telegu film industry for just 2 years. Her first film was "Ye Maaya Chesave". She also did several critically acclaimed and successful movies like "Brindavanam" and "Dookudu" to name a few. Right now the pretty actress is working on 4 Telegu films and 1 Tamil film that is "Neethaane En Ponvasantham".
