Chennai, Sep 9: Rajat Rawail, producer and director, has purchased all the rights for the remaking of Amitabh Bachchan starrer 1981 hit movie "Kaalia". He has got all the rights from Shemaroo Entertainment Ltd. by paying 3 crore of rupees to them. Rawail is a highly successful film maker as he has given blockbuster like "Ready" which starred Salman Khan. He acknowledges the important role of Salman in his career.

Now the director cant yet decide on the male lead of the film. Three names has been shortlisted for the lead role, and those are Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar. To give a contemporary touch to the film, he will be hiring a team of writer, but that will be done only after Rawail finds a suitable director for the movie.

He added that he needs to complete the script first, so that whenever he approaches a superstar for the film, he will readily sign in. When it comes to remake, Mr Bachchan is the frontrunner, as film makers have remade his films like "Don", "Sholay", "Agneepath", while the remakes of "Zanzeer" and "Satte Pe Satta" are also in the filming stage. Most of the Bachchan's films which are remade tasted success, "Sholay" being the only exception which sunk at the box office without any trace.
