Cochin, Sep 11: Bollywood hero Emraan Hashmi who is famous for his serial kisser tag, is right now passing through the best phase of his career. His films are becoming big box office hits and he is also receiving lots of praises for his performances in them. Now everyone started comparing him with blockbuster king Salman Khan. Emraan says it's an honour to be compared to the star.
Emraan says, "I hope my films keep becoming hits, and being compared to Salman is a huge honour," the 33-year-old said here Sunday at a theatre during the screening of 'Raaz 3'. He goes on to add that it takes a lot for him to become another Salman. He says, "I think I have got a lot of work to do, I have been in the industry for just nine years. He is a senior and very encouraging."
Emraan's recent films - 'Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai', 'Murder 2', 'The Dirty Picture', 'Jannat 2' and 'Shanghai', received a fairly good response at the box office, and his latest movie 'Raaz 3', which released Friday, also got a good opening.
Emran replying to a query on why he is featuring only in bold films, said: "No one gives me such (universal) films. When someone gives me a universal subject, I'll do it." Emraan's forthcoming films include 'Ghanchakkar' , 'Ek Thi Daayan' and 'Unglee'.
