Mumbai, Sep 16: Bollywood star Salman Khan's "Ek Tha Tiger", which grossed around Rs 194.84 crores in three weeks, landed in plagiarism controversy. This Yash Raj Films' blockbuster Ek Tha Tiger directed by Kabir Khan has found itself in a copyright row. After films like Om Shanti Om, RA.One, Jannat 2 and Desi Boyz, now it is the turn of 'Ek Tha Tiger' turn to court controversy.

Sources inform that a police complaint has been lodged by writer Anand Panda at the Amboli Police Station against the makers of 'Ek Tha Tiger' alleging that they had stolen his script and made it into a film without providing him any compensation. Police acting on the complaint booked an FIR against Aditya Chopra, the producer of the film. Anand Panda lodged a complaint via the Film Writer's Association (FWA).

Panda revealed that he had approached YRF with his script sometime in 2011, but they seemed least interested and returned the script to him. However, after the release of 'Ek Tha Tiger', Panda was shocked to see that the film bore numerous similarities to his own script.Following which he approached the Film Writer's Association (FWA) with his complaint. As of now, an appeal has been prepared in the Mumbai HC where the case is being heard and then a verdict will be announced. If Panda's allegations come true, YRF honcho Aditya Chopra and Kabir Khan might have to face a jail term.
